How Does Our Board and Training Work?
When you bring your dog to us for boarding and training, our first priority is getting to know them as an individual. This is one reason our Consultation Assessment serves the purpose of learning some background about you and your dog. We’ll spend time assessing your dog’s unique personality, behaviors, and any specific issues you want addressed.
Rather than standard tiers and packages, each dog’s board and train stay is thoughtfully designed just for them. During their stay, your is dog part of our family. We work with them closely to build good habits and curb problematic behaviors. The foundation of structure and guidance is similar across the board, but the specifics of each dog’s learning journey are as individual as they are. Our goal is to set every dog up for success by meeting their needs, learning style and emotional state at whichever place they’re starting from.

General Questions About Board and Training
What will my dog learn at Training That Lasts Board & Training?
Our training methods are individually based on the initial behavioral assessment and consultation. Training includes, but not limited to, behavior modification, basic and/or advanced obedience training and resolving problematic issues pertaining to the dog. Once the relationship is in place between the Trainer and the dog, the Trainer will work to incorporate training into real-life scenarios. Trainer may take the dog to locations other than the Training That Lasts property as appropriate to achieve training goals.
When can my puppy start training at Training That Lasts?
Puppies start training as early as 5-6 weeks but it is on a per dog basis. There is no one size fits all training manual out there. If you have questions, feel free to reach out or start by filling out our assessment form and we will be in touch!
How do I get the training process started?
Please start by filling out our Consultation Assessment detailing specific issues that are a cause for concern or that you would like addressing. The more thorough you are explaining the issues, the better we can interpret what your dog will need and if were the right place for you.
How long does the training take?
Dog Training never stops! From when their 5-6 weeks to being an elderly dog, continuous training will help secure the harmony between your dogs health and happiness.
