Training At Home

The front door opens. Your dog jumps before anyone gets inside. The leash comes out, and the excitement starts before the walk does. You sit down to dinner, and your dog is already watching the counter.

These are the moments we work on together. In-home training lets us see your dog’s behavior in context and help you practice where the routines actually happen. We look at your dog’s body language, what happens before and after the behavior, and how your timing, handling, and environment influence the pattern.

Our approach brings a Behavioral Consultation and continued One-on-One Training into a clear path for your household. We work with puppies, adolescent dogs, and adult dogs, with goals shaped around the dog and people in front of us.

Training grows through the everyday routines you share with your dog.

How Training Works

Understand, Practice, Progress

Your two-hour Behavioral Consultation gives us time to understand your household, demonstrate practical changes, and coach you through them. We look at routines, communication, handling, rest, and the behaviors creating difficulty.

When you need continued support, 90-minute One-on-One Training builds on that starting point. We review progress, troubleshoot the details, and help you practice the next useful skills.

What happens between visits matters. You learn what to practice, how to reinforce it, and when to make the setup easier. Your plan develops as your dog and household learn.

Everyday Skills

We work on the moments that make living together challenging:

  • Leash pulling: starts, slack, pace, attention, and manageable distractions.
  • Jumping and excitement: calmer doorway and greeting routines.
  • Puppy and adolescent habits: potty routines, biting, chewing, settling, and foundations.
  • Reactivity: recognizing earlier changes, adjusting distance, and building engagement.
  • Household boundaries: alternatives to rushing doors, stealing, and counter-surfing.
  • Fear and anxiety: manageable steps that respect comfort and recovery.

Start with the dog in front of you. Goals, difficulty, and progress vary with their needs and learning history.

Both Ends Of The Leash

You are part of the training from the beginning. We show you how to recognize what your dog is communicating, handle the leash, reinforce useful behavior, and follow through with clear, fair expectations.

Then you practice while we coach. That gives us a chance to work through the timing, questions, and small adjustments that make a difference when you are on your own.

Our methodology centers on communication, trust, connection, and owner education. If a different service would better support your goals, we can discuss options such as Board and Train or Group Training when appropriate. The next step should fit your dog, your household, and your ability to continue the work.

Start The Assessment and tell us what daily life with your dog looks like. You do not need to choose a training package before reaching out.
