Training That Lasts Multiple Dogs Who Have Been Trained By Tyler The Trainer

Rescue and Shelter Partnership Program

A rescued dog walks into their new home carrying whatever life handed them before you showed up. Sometimes it’s fear. Sometimes it’s confusion. Sometimes it’s a handful of habits that make no sense yet. Training can be the difference between a rocky start and a dog who settles, learns, and thrives. That support goes further when it circulates back to the rescue that saved them. If you would like to set up with us, click here to get started.

How the Program Works

When an adopter completes their Behavioral Consultation, we donate $50 from that initial consultation directly back to the rescue or shelter in which the dog came from.

The adopter pays the normal consultation rate with no discounts, coupons, or strings attached, the rescue receives the help just with a clean loop of support that helps everyone involved.

Why This Program Exists

Rescues and shelters do the heavy lifting. They rehab, foster, transport, pull dogs out of tough situations, and place them into new homes. Once that dog leaves their care, rescues often wish they could stay involved… but they’re buried in the next case.

The reality is simple:

Most returns happen because adopters feel overwhelmed, not because they don’t care. A single structured consultation can fix that. It gives clarity, direction, and confidence before problems snowball. And sending funding back to the rescue strengthens the whole ecosystem. More support for them. More stability for the dog. More success stories.

What Adopters Receive

The foundation of our work is the 2-hour in-home Behavioral Consultation. We work directly with you, your family and your new dog to ensure a smooth, successful transition into your family’s daily life.

We cover:

  • Structure and boundaries
  • Leash handling
  • Decompression after adoption
  • Different types of communication
  • Indoor and outdoor structure and expectations
  • Body language, physiology, psychology, and fulfillment needs
  • Real-time troubleshooting inside and outside the home

You walk away with dog training that makes sense. Your dog walks away with your steady leadership. Your rescue walks away with $50 that helps fuel their next adoption.

What The Rescue Receives

Partner rescues receives:

  • $50 for every adopter who completes an initial In-home Behavioral Consultation
  • A rescue-specific pamphlet
  • Clear guidance covering the first days, weeks, and transitions
  • A trusted partner to reduce returns and behavior failures
  • No pain, no fear based training methods used

A rescue sending five or six adopters a month receives steady funding and fewer dogs bouncing back into the system. Even 1 or 2 will make the world a better place and less dogs being caught in this cycle.
