Classes take place every Sunday (with occasional breaks) and last about 1.5 hours. You can subscribe to our calendar via the sidebar or bottom of the page. Led by Tyler The Trainer, each session builds upon previous lessons to ensure consistent progress for both dogs and their owners.
Participants should bring essential items such as a slip lead leash, collar, or harness, along with their dog’s favorite treats for training purposes. It’s also advisable to bring water and a portable bowl, especially for outdoor classes. Owners should be ready to actively engage with their dogs during each session, as hands-on practice is crucial for effective learning.
During the group training, handlers can expect progression of skill levels. Training methods often include positive reinforcement techniques, but aren’t limited to any certain techniques. We focus on rewarding desired behaviors to encourage repetition, among many other tools that will give you the confidence as a dog handler. The role of you, the dog handler, is crucial! Active participation and consistency in practice are key to your dog’s success! We sometimes assign follow-up homework to reinforce skills learned during the sessions.
It’s beneficial to hear from past participants to gauge the program’s effectiveness. Success stories often highlight significant improvements in obedience and behavior, fostering a positive and disciplined environment for both dogs and their owners.
Kosha Kadakia2025-05-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Tyler! From our very first consultation, demonstrated a deep understanding of dog behavior and a genuine passion for helping both dogs and their owners. He does not use electric shock which was very important to me. Our dog, Bodhi, had some specific challenges, including jumping, nipping, leash pulling, and potty training. Tyler took the time to listen to our concerns and boarded Bodhi for two weeks. Tyler is patience, has clear communication, and uses positive reinforcement methods that not only taught Bodhi better behaviors but also equipped us with the tools and knowledge to continue the training effectively at home. We've seen remarkable improvements in him. Leash walks are now enjoyable, he calms down when asked, and holds his potty. These changes have made a huge positive impact on our daily lives. Tyler was always punctual, professional, and incredibly supportive, answering all our questions and providing encouragement every step of the way. We highly recommend Tyler to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and effective dog trainer. You won't be disappointed! Gabrielle Nicholson2025-05-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler is the absolute best! He is so kind, patient, and passionate about what he does. He is extremely knowledgeable on dog and human psychology. Tyler emphasizes building a harmonious relationship between you and your dog. We have worked with other trainers in the past, but did not see the progress we have already seen within a week of working with Tyler. I would recommend him to anyone looking to build a better relationship with their dog:) Cathy Gibson2025-05-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler is a one of a kind and very knowledgeable dog trainer! He has continued to work with myself and my dog Charlie patiently, compassionately, and positively and we have made so much progress over the past few months. Charlie came from a hoarding situation with 28 dogs in a small trailer and was never outside, so he was fearful of everything and everyone including, wind, rain, snow, a leash and sounds. And he only knew to pee and poop inside and never was exposed to toys. When I rescued him, he was basically shut down and scared due to his lack of exposure to normal activities for a 2 year old dog. Tyler has helped Charlie trust people, learn how to walk on a leash, listen to me and is much more social with people and other dogs these days. I am so grateful that Tyler is my dog trainer and trust him 100% to continue to help me train Charlie to adapt without fear to everyday life. This was such a a waste of time and money for information that was very unhelpful. Shannon Niznik2025-04-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler did a fantastic job with our bernadoodle puppy. He has a true intuition of training dogs but also an expansive knowledge on dog longevity and health through nutrition. She had several commands mastered after training, has not had any accidents in the house and has been an absolute joy to have in our family. I know that a large portion of this is due to instilling a training foundation that we continue to carry through each day. Thank you Tyler for all of your work with Aspen and all the knowledge you have shared with us. When we adopt our next puppy we will definitely be using your services again! Thank you! Holly Doyle2025-04-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had such a great experience with Tyler! He came to our home for a three-hour session and was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. As puppy parents, we had a lot of questions—and Tyler answered every one with care and clarity. Tyler not only helped us understand our puppy’s behavior but also gave us practical tools and techniques to start training immediately. The session felt personalized to our needs, and we walked away feeling much more confident and equipped. Highly recommend Tyler to anyone looking for in-home guidance, especially with a young pup. We’re already seeing positive changes and can’t wait to continue using what we learned! Jessica Velotta2025-04-16Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t say enough about the amazing info Tyler provided for me and my family! I think the biggest compliment was hearing my 7 and 12 year old hush about how informative the training was- “day and night” are the exact words my son is using in terms of our Milo’s behavior! Tyler was amazing answering all our questions and helping us understand how to better communicate. Highly recommend! It was clear as soon as he met Ally how patient, knowledgeable, and kind he was. He took the time to truly understand Ally’s personality and needs. He was always calm and positive, using positive reinforcement to build trust and confidence in my mom’s dog. It was clear Tyler genuinely cares about the well-being of the dogs he works with. Ally responded really well in her first session. I also appreciate how Tyler told my mom she could reach out with any questions that come up since there was a lot of information covered.
