Group dog training offers several advantages, including cost-effectiveness and a unique social environment for the low price of $45 per training. These classes are more affordable, making professional training accessible to more pet owners. The social setting allows dogs to interact with their peers, which is crucial for their social development. Additionally, it fosters a supportive community where pet owners can share experiences, tips, and encouragement.
Our group training sessions are held weekly on Sundays, with occasional breaks. You can subscribe to our calendar through the sidebar or at the bottom of this event, depending on your device. Each session lasts about an hour and a half. Tyler The Trainer will guide pet owners and their dogs through various exercises and commands, with each class building on the skills learned in previous sessions to ensure steady progress.
Participants should bring essential items such as a slip lead leash, collar, or harness, along with their dog’s favorite treats for training purposes. It’s also advisable to bring water and a portable bowl, especially for outdoor classes. Owners should be ready to actively engage with their dogs during each session, as hands-on practice is crucial for effective learning.
During the training program, owners can expect a structured progression of skill levels, beginning with basic commands and gradually advancing to more complex behaviors. Training methods often include positive reinforcement techniques, but aren’t limited to any certain techniques. We focus on rewarding desired behaviors to encourage repetition. The role of you, the dog handler, is crucial! Active participation and consistency in practice are key to your dog’s success! We sometimes assign follow-up homework to reinforce skills learned during the sessions.
It’s beneficial to hear from past participants to gauge the program’s effectiveness. Success stories often highlight significant improvements in obedience and behavior, fostering a positive and disciplined environment for both dogs and their owners.

Looking forward to implementing what we learned from him as we progress on our training journey. Maddie Lewis2025-08-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler came to our house for our consultation and just the consultation alone gave us more confidence that we can train our dog! We have a stubborn 7mo Great Pyrenees and as soon as tyler walked in it was like he was a different dog. Tyler is super encouraging and answered all our questions without judgement! He sees what environment you’re in and tries to relate it back to the dog so you understand why your dog is acting this way! We intend to do group training and the pack walks but just the consultation alone gave us a new confidence with our puppy! heyjohn562025-08-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had limited expectations for this consultation but Tyler was amazing! In just over 2 hours he had us and our dog Shadow doing things I wouldn't have thought possible before. He taught us how to build a relationship with our dog, how to be his leader, and thus, how to have a wonderful life together. We look forward to working with him more on pack walks and to fine tune our bond with Shadow. Thank you Tyler and the whole Training That Lasts team! Anna Bennett2025-08-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler did a great job explaining different scenarios and involved my children in the process. I’m excited to continue to make my dog a more behaved version of himself. Amy N2025-08-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have a 5 1/2 month old GSD/Malinois mix who is a great pup with some normal puppy behaviors (i.e. mouthing, anxiousness, energy, etc) and working with Tyler is exactly what I needed to reconnect with Jefe from a leadership perspective. His behavioral consultation was so helpful, informative, and I am very excited to redirect my boy's anxious energy into a positive connection and job. Plus we got a pretty cool training too to work with him as well. Tyler came recommended to me and I would love to recommend him to anyone who's struggling with their pups behavior. He is extremely knowledgeable and you'll learn to build a lasting bond with your pup 🐶 He spent over 2 hours with us and we never once felt rushed. Really appreciate the time and patience working with me. Stephanie Krzeminski2025-08-19Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler was patient, understanding, and so personable with us and our 3 dogs! He took his time with us during the consultation and made sure that we understood not just the how but the why behind the work. Highly recommend him! Tyler came to our house to help us with our Pittie that has been very reactive to our other dogs recently. Tyler spent almost 2 hours with us giving us training advice and working with our Dog to help her overcome her anxiety. It isn't a light switch fix but he gave us the tools and techniques we need to be successful. Tyler was professional, patient, and obviously very knowledgable about dogs psychology and training methods. I would highly recommend Training that Lasts to anyone needing help with their dogs. Sidney Snider2025-08-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler was absolutely amazing with our golden doodle, Hazel! The information and knowledge that Tyler brought to our session was so helpful. He helped us gain confidence with training by giving us the tools to succeed. Could not recommend enough! Abby Shouse2025-08-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Tyler from Training That Lasts come to our home for a 1:1 consultation and couldn’t be happier with our experience. Our 9-month-old pup had been struggling with nervousness around new people (sometimes snapping in fear), accidents in the house, barking, and being unruly on the leash. In just 90 minutes, Tyler gave us clear, practical solutions that made total sense, nothing confusing or overcomplicated. We watched our dog start following his directions right away, and we left feeling confident we could keep the progress going at home. Even after just one day, we’ve already seen positive changes and her willingness to learn. If you want a trainer who’s easy to understand, genuinely cares, and gets real results fast, I would highly recommend Tyler! We’re excited to bring her to a group training and to hopefully join pack walks! Tina Gould2025-08-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We reached out to Training That Lasts because we started to see some aggressive behavior from our 1 year old golden doodle, Max. Tyler gave us insights into Max's behavior we had not considered, and offered us many suggestions and tools to help address the issue. We started to see a difference in Max immediately. We are so thankful we found someone to help us bring out the best in him. This was money well spent! You will not regret making this investment.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
