One-on-One Training

One-on-One Training at home depot with a Bernadoodle puppy

At Training That Lasts, we understand that every dog is unique—just like their humans! That’s why our One-on-One Dog Training is tailored specifically to your dog’s personality, behavior, and needs. Whether you’re dealing with obedience issues, unwanted behaviors, or simply want to strengthen your communication, we’ll give you the tools and confidence to become the skilled handler your dog needs.

What To Expect During One-On-One Training?

Each one-on-one session lasts 90 minutes, allowing us plenty of time to dive deep into the specific areas where you and your dog need guidance. We’ll work closely with both of you, focusing on real-life scenarios to ensure the training sticks. From proper leash handling to learning effective commands, our goal is to equip you with the knowledge to maintain your dog’s progress well beyond the sessions.

Choose Between Two Training Programs:

5-Session Program: Ideal for dogs needing to fine-tune their skills or for owners looking to improve specific issues such as leash pulling, jumping, or recall.

8-Session Program: Perfect for a comprehensive training approach covering obedience training, behavior modification, and advanced skills.

What We Cover During Training:

We customize every session to focus on what your dog needs most, whether that’s learning the basics or overcoming deeper behavioral challenges. Some of the areas we often work on include:

In-Home Training

Our one-on-one training sessions provide the perfect environment for customized learning and faster results. Here’s why our clients love it:

  • Personalized Attention: The focus is on your dog and their specific needs, so no two sessions are alike.
  • Flexible Scheduling: We work around your availability to make sure training fits into your life.
  • Real-World Application: Training takes place in the environments you and your dog frequent, whether that’s at home, in the park, or on your daily walks.
  • Hands-On Learning: We don’t just train your dog—we train you to be a confident handler so you can reinforce the skills learned during each session.

Aggression Management

If your dog exhibits aggressive behavior towards other animals or people, our training can help. Tyler’s techniques focus on safe and effective behavior modification to curb these unwanted aggressive tendencies, improving overall temperament.

Specialized Attention

Does your dog struggle in typical group training settings? Our one-on-one, personalized approach may be especially beneficial, allowing your pup to thrive in a tailored environment.

Advanced Training Needs

If your dog requires training beyond basic obedience commands or needs to learn specific skills, such as service dog training or agility work, our training can accommodate those advanced needs.

Behavioral Problems

Is your household harmony disrupted by issues like destructive chewing, excessive barking, housebreaking challenges, or other problematic behaviors? Our constant guidance and proven techniques can effectively manage these concerns.

Separation Anxiety

Does your dog struggle with being left alone, leading to distress or destructive behaviors? Our immersive training helps develop confidence and calmness, enabling your pup to better cope with your absence.

Preventative Training

Interested in establishing routines, boundaries, and positive reinforcement strategies to prevent future behavioral issues from arising? Our training places a strong emphasis on preventative measures.
